About our building...
We are proud of our Raytown Historical Museum from the lovely Federalist Style building to the treasures it holds inside. Documenting our city, its people, our beginnings, and the ongoing history is our unwavering goal.
The Raytown Historical Society Museum was Raytown's first Fire Station. Built along 63rd Street in February 1945. The land was purchased from Minor Smith and a two-story addition was built in 1948. Later, acquired by the Raytown Historical Society in April 1982.
